Billing Terms & Payment Options


All customers are listed as strictly C.O.D. accounts (payment due at time of service), unless otherwise considered well-established & in good standing with Beeson’s. 

Customers are required to put down a minimum of a 50% deposit before projects will begin.  This excludes projects which are billed as time & material, as it is nearly impossible to estimate final costs.  In the case of time & material projects, the final total is due at the project’s completion, unless otherwise agreed upon, in advance, in writing, with Beeson’s.

Credit Cards:

We accept Visa, Mastercard & Discover debit & credit cards.  When paying an invoice by credit card, please include your credit card account number, name of cardholder, billing ZIP code, expiration date & 3 or 4-digit V-code.  Unless requested otherwise, credit card information will be kept on file for one (1) year.

Service Charges:

A service charge of 2% per month (24% annual) will be charged on unpaid balances of past due accounts.  We reserve the right to change this rate with thirty (30) days written notice.  Each payment will be applied first to any unpaid service charges, then to the oldest invoice outstanding.

Customer is responsible for any and all expenses incurred in collecting any indebtedness.  Customer waives any claim of jurisdiction or venue in the county of state of customer’s residence or place of business, and agrees that, should suit be instituted, personal jurisdiction, as well as venue, will be Lake County, IL or a jurisdiction selected by the creditor.


Catalog & Website Errors

Beeson’s strives to give you the most accurate information relating to our policies, plant information & pricing.  We do not, however, guarantee that our website or any catalog is free of typographical errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies.


Claims & Returns

Our plants are considered healthy and in good growing condition when sold.  Since growing conditions and plant care are out of our control once plants leave the nursery, we can offer no further guarantee.  In case of claims or returned goods, please present your receipt, planting invoice and or contract.

Gift items must be returned or exchanged within fourteen (14) days of purchase.  Returns or exchanges will only be accepted if the item is presented with receipt, any and all tags, and in original condition.  Purchases made by credit card will be issued a refund on the card with which the original purchase was made.  Purchases made with cash or check will be refunded on a Beeson’s gift card.


Delivery Charges

Delivery is based per truck load.  Supplemental charges may be incurred if additional personnel, special machinery or equipment is required.  Items ordered for delivery-only are to be placed on driveway, no exceptions.  Delivery does not cover the cost of moving the item(s) to another location and or planting.  If these services are required, we can bid these for you as well.

Discounts are subject to approval by an appropriate manager & may change or be considered void at any time.  Discounts can not be applied to delivery and or labor charges.


Illinois Sales Tax

Illinois Sales Tax is required by the State to be paid on all purchases of products bought in Illinois, unless the buyer has a valid tax exemption number or a Certificate of Resale on file with Beeson’s at the time of purchase.  Adjustments will not be made after the fact.

If you are in the Horticulture Trade (i.e. Landscape Contractor, Maintenance Company, etc.) or a like department for a local City/Municipality, please Contact Us to receive our Wholesale Policies and Application Form in order to establish an account with us.


Material Substitutions

Should bided material become unavailable, out of stock, or unsalable, like material will be furnished to complete the project.  Likewise, unless a plat of survey is provided, the quantity and or size of material is subject to change.  Final material, quantity, variety, and price will be reflected in the final invoice.

Nursery Stock Installation

We offer installation for the vast majority of the plants that we grow and sell.  Installation for trees and or shrubs is half the original price of the item(s) with the minimum installation fee charged being $150.00.  This fee covers the cost of delivery, installation, fertilization, initial watering, and a one-year guarantee for items covered under our Planting Guarantee.

Perennials, ground-covers, annuals, etc. are bid on a square footage basis.  If you would like more details or a quote on this service, please Contact Us.

As we have no control over the planting depth or technique used by either yourself or your gardener/landscaper, we can offer no planting guarantee for items that we ourselves do not install.  However, if you plan on installing the plant material yourself, we would be more than happy to provide you with basic planting instructions and answer any questions that you may have in reference to correct planting depths, watering amounts, etc.

Planting Guarantee

We guarantee to replace once any woody plants*, planted by Beeson’s Plantation, Inc., that fail to grow for one year from date of planting, provided proper care, including watering, has been given and the bill paid in accordance with terms.

Claims must be made promptly and within one (1) year.  If plants are out of stock, a substitute of like value or a refund of purchase price will be made.  There are no warranties which extend beyond the description on the face hereof.

*Excludes roses, perennials, perennial grasses, sod, seed, bulbs, annuals, transplanted materials, and or ‘End of Season’ or sale material (nursery stock, discounted 40% or more, where installation labor has been discounted accordingly), unless otherwise stated in writing within the contract.

Please know that your information, whether public or private, will never be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by you, the customer.

The most current quote/estimate prepared for you cancels any and all prices provided in a previous quote/estimate.  Prices are subject to correction or change.  Pricing and discounts provided to you on said quote/estimate are valid for no more than ten (10) days.  If the ten (10) day window has lapsed, we would be happy to rebid the job for you.
